Understanding sentence types and structures helps students create more complex and varied sentences:
- Simple Sentences: Contain a subject and a predicate and express a complete thought.
- Compound Sentences: Contain two or more independent clauses joined by a conjunction (e.g., and, but, or).
- Complex Sentences: Contain one independent clause and at least one dependent clause.
